Yellow Rose Blossoms
In our early childhood Montessori classroom, we offer a distinctive program known as Yellow Rose Blossoms. Throughout the school year in small groups, learners will immerse themselves in outdoor activities every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday morning.
During these sessions, they may plant seeds, tend to growing plants, identify different species, and learn about the lifecycle of plants firsthand. Through these experiences, children not only cultivate practical skills such as gardening techniques and plant care but also develop a deep connection with nature. The garden becomes a living laboratory where children observe, inquire, and experiment, fostering a sense of wonder and appreciation for the natural world.
Additionally, these outdoor experiences promote physical activity, sensory stimulation, and environmental awareness, laying a solid foundation for lifelong learning and environmental stewardship.
Regardless of the weather conditions, we prioritize outdoor experiences whenever possible. As long as the temperature falls within the range of 50 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, we venture outside, except in cases of extreme weather like torrential downpours or lightning.

El niño que ha sentido un fuerte amor por su entorno y por todas las criaturas vivientes, que ha descubierto la alegrÃa y el entusiasmo en el trabajo, nos da motivos para esperar que la humanidad pueda desarrollarse en una nueva dirección.
- Dra. MarÃa Montessori
