Tiered Tuition at Yellow Rose Montessori
At Yellow Rose Montessori, we are committed to making high-quality Montessori education accessible and affordable for all families. To support economic diversity, we use a tiered tuition model for our full-day program (8:30 AM - 3:15 PM), ensuring fairness by adjusting tuition based on gross income and family size.
How Our Tiered Tuition Model Works:
-
Income-Based Tiers: Tuition is structured into four tiers (Tier 1 to Tier 4), aligning with household income and family size. Please refer to the provided chart when completing enrollment forms.
-
Diverse Community: By enrolling students across all tiers, we create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment.
-
Financial Assistance: Families in Tier 4 are encouraged to apply for a Texas child care subsidy for additional support ((click here for more info)
Our tuition structure is designed around the median household income of Houston’s East End ($49,938, HUD 2024 Adjusted Home Income Limits), ensuring affordability for local families. By basing our pricing on community income data, we strive to provide equitable access to Montessori education.

State Subsidies
The Texas Rising Star (TRS) program supports early childhood education in Texas by rating programs based on quality standards. Non-profit schools can earn certification ranging from 2-star to 4-star by meeting these standards. In their second year of certification, eligible schools may receive additional funding to enhance their programs.
TRS helps ensure high-quality education for young children by offering support for teachers and improving learning environments. For parents, TRS certification signals that a program meets rigorous standards for their child's education.
In its second year of operation, Yellow Rose will apply to be part of the TRS program. This will allow us to offer more affordable tuition for those who qualify, ensuring that more families have access to high-quality early childhood education.
